Eggless Strawberry Vanilla Icecream
It is pretty hot in here for the last 3 days and what better way to cool yourself than a cold ice cream- huh?
After experimenting with the Pistachio ice cream ,I got confident enough to try more egg less ice creams.Strawberry Ice Cream came out really yummy. I used frozen strawberries because didn't have the fresh ones handy.
Heavy Whipping Cream-1 pint
Condensed Milk-1 can
Strawberry pureed-1 cup[I used frozen strawberries]
Whole strawberries-5 chopped in to chunk
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Pink food coloring-2 drops [optional]
In a stand mixer with the beater attachment
whip the heavy whipping cream
until stiff peak.
Puree the strawberries in a Blender. set Aside.
In a stainless steel bowl mix together
condensed milk,vanilla and strawberry puree.
Gently fold in the whipped cream to the
mixture.Add the food colouring and the
chopped strawberries.. Mix well.
In a stainless steel container with a lid, pour
the mixture and freeze it.Take it out and stir
2 times in a 2 hour interval. [ie, If you made
the ice cream at 1.00 stir at 3.00 and again at
5.00.].Let it set for 3 more hours or
overnight.Scoop it with an ice cream scooper. Serve immediately.
Also to make it fancy cut some fresh strawberries and put on
top of the ice cream or use mint leaves.
