Rava laddu are one of the festive Indian desserts. This is one of my childhood favourites. When i was a kid my grandma used to make these for Diwali and me and my brother used to gobble them up when it is still warm. They were so good. My grandma used to make it with ghee but i used milk to make it healthier. Also this is a less sweet version.
Fine Suji/Rava - 1 1/2 cup
Ghee-2tbs + 1tsp
warm Milk-1/4 cup
In a pan add 1 tsp of ghee and roast the rava until they are lightly brown.
Dry roast the coconut also until they are lightly browm and the raw smell of the coconut disappears.
Heat 2 tbs ghee and roast the raisin and cashews.Set aside.
Remove the seeds from the cardomon and powder it with sugar.Mix it with the roasted rava ,cashews , raisins and coconut.
Add 1/4 cup of warm milk.Mix well. When they are cool to touch make small balls.
