All About Sprouted Moong Dal

It is so amazing that with some Sprouted Dal's we could do variety of foods.
Here are some

Sprouted Moong dal Rice


Basmati or long grain rice-1cup

Onion-1 medium [thinly chopped]
Tomato-1 medium [thinly chopped]
Sprouted Moon Dal-1 cup

garlic-2 cloves

for seasoning:

mustard seeds-1 tsp
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
red chillies-3
curry leaves-6-8

salt-to taste


Cook the rice with 1/2 tsp of salt.Set aside.

In a pan add the oil and the seasoning ,when it splutters add the onion and garlic saute until onion is lightly brown. Add the tomato and saute for couple of more minutes.Add the sprouted Dal and saute for 5 more minutes or until they are soft but not mushy.

Add the salt and rice .Mix well.Serve hot with yogurt.
