Idiappam and Stew

This is one of the traditional kerala breakfast . Of course it is a little bit time consuming but it is worth it. Idiappam is made in the idiappam moulds ,if you donot have that use the idli molds. It works fine.

Idiappam powder - 2cups[ you can get this from any indian store]
Boiled water - enough to make a thick batter
Salt - to taste

Fresh coconut-to garnish

Method:
In a pan mix the idiappam powder and salt. Add the boiled water and stir to a thick batter.
Place 1 tbs of grated coconut in the greased idli moulds/idiappam moulds and press the batter in to these moulds with idiappam press[seva nazhi].
Fill the idlimaker with water and place the moulds in the cooker and steam for 15-20 miniutes or until done.

Enjoy with Theyal and Stew.
