Semiya Payasam

Semiya Payasam

This is a simple and easy payasam that tastes wonderful.


semiya/semolina- 1/2 cup roasted until golden brown

Water-1cup [ also u can use milk insted of water]
Milk-1 1/2 -2 cups

sugar-1cup[increase or decrease the amt if u want]

cardomon-5 pods remove the skin and powder it.

To garnish:

1/4 cup of dark raisin
1/4 cup of cashew broken in to pieces
Unsalted Butter-1 1/2 tbs

In a pan roast the semiya and add 1 cup water and cook it until soft.Add the
milk and bring to boil. Now add the sugar,cardomom and saffron and boil for
2-3 miniutes. Add sugar and mix well.

In a pan melt butter and add cashew and raisin and roast it until golden color.
Remove pan from flame.
