Green Apple Pickle

Apple Pickle

This green apple pickle tastes very close to green mango pickle.
I have a friend who has a green apple tree. Every year she brings me
baskets full of apple. I make apple pie, tarts whatever i can make with
those apples but there was still leftovers. So i decided to try and make
some thing indian.I made apple pickle using the same technique used to make
mango pickle. It turned out great. So now this is one of my favourite
recipes. I am so happy to share this recipes with you all.

Apple pickle

Green apple - 1 large[with skin]

redchillie powder - 1tbs
kashmiri chillie powder- 1/2tbs [for color]
Salt- to taste

For seasoning'
Mustard seeds-1tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/3tsp
redchillie- 1 or 2
Gingelly oil- 1/3cup
Hing - 2 pinch

In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, red chillies and hing. When mustard seeds splutters remove this from the flame and let it cool.

Cut the apples in to small pieces and add the kashmiri chillies, red chillies and salt. Add the oil mix and Mix well.Let it sit for 2-3 hours to set before serving.

Keep this pickle in the refrigerator.

If you like a little sweet, sour, salty, and hot all at once, this is the greatest! We love it, not only with our curries, but with many different main dishes. This recipe is delicious.
