Sauteed Bell pepper in Pitla powder
One more yummy way to use the Pitla powder.This curry goes very well with Rice.
Bell pepper-2 cups[Green,yellow and red]
Pitla powder-1 tbs
Green chillies split-2
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Curry leaves-a few
Coconut Oil-1 tbs
Fried fresh coconut-3 tbs
Remove the seed from the Bell pepper and cut them into strips[like for french fries].
In a pan add the mustard seeds,red chillies,curry leaves and oil.When the mustard splutters add the cut bell pepper and green chillies.Saute for 5 minutes in medium flame until the bell pepper is soft and cooked ,but not mushy.Add the turmeric powder,pittla powder and salt.Saute for 2 minutes. Remove from the flame and add the fried coconut.Serve hot with rice.
To fry the coconut-In a pan add a tsp of coconut oil and 3 tbs grated fresh coconut. Roast them until the coconut is light brown.
