Chilli Gobi

This is one of my favourite recipes ever. We go to a restaurant near our house ,where they serve this killer Chilli gobi's. It is very spicy but so yummy.I have been trying to replicate that recipe for a long time. After a few experimenting I have succeeded in that.Hope you all enjoy it like I do.

Ingredients:

For Batter:

Cauliflower florets
All purpose flour-1 cup
Corn starch-1/2 cup
Garlic powder-1/2 tsp
ginger powder-1/2 tsp
salt-1/2 tsp
water -enough to make the batter

Vegetables

Zucchini-1
Green Bell pepper-1 [Chop these vegetables like for french fries]
Red Bell pepper-1
Onion-1

Jalapenos pepper-2 thinly sliced
garlic-2 chopped
Chilli paste-1 tsp or more
Soy Sauce-1/2 tbs
Tomato sauce-1 tbs
Vegetable oil-2 tbs

Salt-to taste

Spring onions-2-3 stalks thinly chopped to garnish.

Method:

In a pot of boiling water dip the whole cauliflower and let it sit for 5 minutes.Remove it and Drain it.Cut cauliflower into pieces.

Mix together Flour,Corn flour,Garlic powder, ginger powder, salt and water and make a batter .The batter should be of pancake consistency.
Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter and deep fry it until they are golden brown and crisp.Set aside.

Heat the wok , add the oil , garlic and onion. Saute until the raw smell of onion disappears. Now add the chopped zucchini, bell pepper and jalapenos. Saute 3-5 minutes in medium flame. Add the soy sauce, chilli paste, tomato sauce and salt.Saute until the vegetables are tender crisp. Add the fried cauliflowers and saute for 5minutes in medium flame. Remove from flame. Garnish with chopped spring onions. It is ready to be served with Chinese fried Rice,Roti's....

To give it a Restaurant style look, I put a bed of chopped Cabbage and also sprinkled the Chilli Gobi with White sesame seeds.
