Pazham Pori/Banana Fry




Pazham pori is one of the authentic kerala snack which

can be found from Road side tea shop [tattu kada] to an upscale

restaurant in kerala.It is so easy to make and also

tastes Delicious with a cup of tea.

Ingredients:

Ripened plantain/Nentra Pazham -2

All purpose flour/maida -1 cup

Sugar-5 tbs

Baking soda-a pinch

turmeric powder-1/4tsp

Salt- a pinch

Water-1/2 cup to 3/4 cup

Oil for frying

Method:

Peel the plantain and cut into half,take the half and

slice each half in to two.One plantain you will get 4

slices.

Mix flour,turmeric,salt,sugar,baking soda and mix with

water.The batter should be of idli batter consistency.

Dip the sliced plantains in the batter and deep fry it

.Make sure to flip the plantain and cook both sides

until they are golden color.

Loved the oatmeal laced cookies! The only change I made was to use sprouted 100% whole grain flour that digests as a vegetable. I switched to using sprouted flour (available from Shiloh Farms)in all my baking and noticed that it adds amazing flavor, and it is much more nutritious. Check it out.
