Sweet & Salty Aval/Poha

The weather is pretty cold in here and i am always looking for some snacks to crunch and munch with my hot tea.But don't have the time or patience to make snack every day. So this is a good option for me. Kids also enjoy this snack because it has a lot of cashews and raisin and it is also a little bit sweet.

Sweet & Salty Aval/Poha

Ingredients:

Aval/Poha extra thick-1 cup

Peanut-1/2cup
cashews-1/2cup
Raisin-1/2 cup
green chillies -2-3 cut into thin slices
curry leaves -6-8

turmeric powder - little

Sugar - 1tsp
salt-to taste

Hing - little

Method

Heat oil and deep fry the poha with a little bit of turmeric powder until it puffs up and is crunchy.Spread on paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

Deep fry the nuts ,raisins, green chillies and curry leaves one at a time in the same oil.

Let it cool slightly. Mix everything together with sugar, salt and a little bit of hing when it is still warm.

Keep it in an airtight container .
