Easy Pedas

Pedas are one of the traditional Indian festive sweets.Making pedas the traditional way is time consuming.I am a big fan of pedas and was looking for a simple ,easy way to make it.Luckily i got an easy recipe from one of my friends a few years back .I modified the recipe a little bit. Here is the modified version

Ingredients

Dry Milk Powder- 2 cups

Unsalted butter-8 tbsp

Sweetened Condensed milk-14 0z

Saffron-a pinch

Rose water-1/8 tsp

Powdered cardamon-1/4 tsp

Method:

In a Microwave safe bowl melt the butter for 2 minutes .Add the remaining

ingredients except the rose water ,mix well and microwave it for 3 more minutes

stirring every one minutes.Remove from the microwave and add the rose water. Mix

well.Let it cool down a little bit.

Grease your hands and plate with butter. Take small amount of the mixture and

make balls and flatten it a little bit. Decorate with cashews and Badam.

Refrigerate for 1 hours .

This goes to Sri's "EFM-MICROWAVE EVENT SERIES" event.
