Eggless Fig Jam Thumbprint Cookies
I luv butter Cookies..these are one of my favorite Cookies..it's so delicious it melts in your mouth....try it out you will know what I am talking about..I got this recipe from one of my friend Sheila...
Ingredients:
Ground Oats - 1 cup
Butter Softned-1/2 cup
Flour- 2/3 cup
Brown Sugar-2/3 cup
Chopped walnut or pecans-1 1/3 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Jam - I used my homemade fig jam ,you can use Smuckers or any of your fav brands...:)
Method:
In a stand mixer cream the butter until light and fluffy. Add the brown sugar and Vanilla.Mix for 2 minutes.Sift the Oats and Flour. Mix the flour mixture to the butter mixture ,mix until well combined.Add the chopped nuts and mix well with a spatula.Make balls out of the dough and press the centre with your thumb or back of teaspoon into top of each cookie leaving a shallow indentation.Add spoonful of jam in indentation.bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown.Cool the cookies on wire racks..Enjoy.......
