Spinach Pakoda

These are one of the easiest pakoda ever.On Saturday's my hubby loves to have some snacks with his Chai[Chaya and Kadi]. I try to make simple snacks as possible ,so I am not stuck in the kitchen for a long time.. This recipe is from my friend Sangeetha, who is an awesome cook. She only suggested me to add some spinach to the onion pakoda. So you feel like you are having something healthy. Nice huh?

Ingredients:

Onion-1/2 thinly chopped

Spinach-1 cup chopped

Redchillie powder-1/2-1 tsp

Ginger powder-1/2 tsp

Salt-to taste

Besan/Chickpeas flour-3/4 cup
Water-enough to make the batter[I used 8 tsp of water]

Vegetable oil-to deep fry

Method:

In a bowl add all the ingredients with some water and make a thick batter. With a small ice cream scoop or a spoon, scoop small amount of batter and flatten it with a spoon.Deep fry it until golden brown.
Serve hot with Tomato ketchup.

Note-You can use fresh grated ginger and green chillies instead of red chillie powder and ginger powder.
