Coconut Rice/ Thengai Chatham
Coconut Rice
If you like coconut sure you will like this recipe. It is easy to make
and tastes delicious. This rice can be served with chutney,yougurt and
pickle or have like a snack.
Coconut Rice
Ingredients
Cooked rice- 1 1/2cups
fresh grated Coconut-1 cup
For seasoning:
mustard seeds -1tsp
uraddal-1tsp
red chillies-3-4
curry leaves-8-10
Coconut oil-1tbs
Salt-totaste
Method:
In a pan add the oil and mustard seeds,dal,redchillies and curry leaves
when the mustard seeds splutters add the coconut and stir until coconut
is light brown.
Remove from the flame and add the cooked rice and Salt.
